Strategy development and business planning

  • Collaboratively draft and develop strategies and business plans, relevant implementation plans and cost analyses
  • Manage stakeholder engagement processes by conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, and leading focus groups
  • Conduct strategic planning and team-building workshops and retreats to determine overall organizational goals and identify solutions to ongoing programmatic and organizational challenges

Capacity building and technical assistance

  • Design and lead workshops on strategy, analysis, and evaluation, including devising logic models and Theory of Change frameworks
  • Collaborate with grantee organizations on planning processes, needs assessments, program and evaluation design, and grant proposals
  • Provide ongoing coaching to organizational leadership and program staff on strategic planning, needs assessments, evaluation, policy analysis, and grantmaking


  • Plan, design and manage grantmaking programs and/or collaborative funding initiatives
  • Draft and finalize Board dockets summarizing proposals and applications recommended for funding approval
  • Design and draft Requests for Applications and Proposals (RFAs and RFPs) to source potential organizations and contractors to design and implement programs, projects, and evaluations
  • Other grantmaking activities including:
    • Developing tools and rubrics to rate and rank grant applications
    • Assembling grant review committees
    • Conducting due diligence on organizations

Quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Conduct needs assessments, feasibility studies, and landscape analyses
  • Develop and deploy surveys using SurveyMonkey and analyze data using MS Excel and SPSS
  • Design and lead stakeholder interviews and focus groups
